RTX 2080 Underperforming?

I’ve had my Rtx 2080 mai gaming x trio for a couple months now and I’ve been pretty happy with the performance but after trying a few more games I’ve noticed lower frames that I was expecting and I’m not sure if i was over estimating the cards performance or if it could be faulty or underperforming for a different reason. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. 

 

FPS examples: (all max settings 1080p)

GTA online - 90-100 fps

Destiny 2 - 140-160 fps

Shadow of the tomb raider 90-110 fps (no Rtx)

Battlefield v - 100-120 fps (no Rtx)

 

Specs

Cpu: i9 9900k @4.7ghz

Gpu: Rtx 2080 mai gaming x trio

Memory: 32gb 3200mhz

psu: 750w

I'd say maybe overestimating the performance a little.
