I am in the process of trying to upgrade my system, and I would like some thoughts on what is the best to save for next. I have an i7 4930k waiting for a motherboard for my rig, but a lot of my current rig needs to go. My current rig and peripherals is:

CPU: A10 7850k overclocked to 4.1ghz (highest I could do with the voltage locked board)

Mobo: A78M-E35 V2

Ram: G.Skill 2x8gb sticks

GPU: XFX RX 580 8GB XXX GTS

Case: Corsair Spec-01

Wifi Card: Qualcomm Atheros AR946x w/ Bluetooth 4.0 - 802.11 a/g/b/n

PSU: Corsair CX500M (500W)

Storage: Almost 5 year old WD Blue 1tb 7200 HDD

Cooling: Corsair H60

Keyboard: Old Dell Keyboard Hub

Mouse: Logitech G700s

Monitors: 1x Asus VX228H, 2x Viewsonic VA703-3 Series

I know the CPU is garbage, it was the best I could get at the time due to its integrated graphics. A i7 4930k Mobo and an SSD are at the top of my list right now, but my rig has definitely not aged well. RX 580 is new, just got it a couple months ago. I am trying to get my first job, but nothing definitive on that front yet. Thanks

Ooferino, green label CXM. If you got yourself a Grey label CX550M your system will thank you. It's a much more up to date platform with much better quality.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
