eGPU Enclosure

hi i was just wondering those eGPU Enclosure like the razor corev2 or the asus and the other brands can  you install other than graphics card in them like maybe an raid controller /sas controller, or other peripals

I'm fairly sure an eGpu enclosure can only have a GPU and PSU inside it.

well it is an thunderbolt 3 to 16x pcie so i was just thinking that maybe it could work,,

the slot can be used for whatever 

you want, afik is just a pci express x416 slot running 4 pci express lanes and nothing more so any pci express card will connect normally

 

if it fits inside it should work, the problem would be fit the hard drives and connect them, the psu inside the external case only has power cables for the gpu

 

you would have to make alot of things to make it work

Ok thanks for the answer I was just curious about it. I did find a couple of boxes designed for 2 pcie cards. Not that I wanted to put in the drives Inside the box.
