ryzen 3600 probs

yo, got myself a ryzen 3600 kit and it doesnt seem to boot, now i got

AMD Ryzen 5 3600  WRAITH 3600 AM4 BOX
ASUS PRIME B450M-A
Antec P6
D416GB 3200-16 Vengeance LPX
Corsair TX650M

and i dont have any other chip to flash this board,  now i consider to get the athlon 200ge to flash it, is that a chip thats guaranteed to flash all boards?

ram is on the qvl list also so ._. , thought it would atleast post without a bios update tbh

i pretty much did everything u can do with troubleshooting so im pretty confident its the simple flash required thing :f

for those interested i add som pic of my build too sad story it doesnt boot tho xD

So your board probably didn't come with updated BIOS for 3rd gen Ryzen. You can try and get a boot kit from AMD for free. Also, check in the MOBO page if it has BIOS flashback, I don't think it has, but some boards do, which allows for BIOS flash without a CPU.

CPU: i5 10600KFMotherboard: Asus B460M-Plus | Cooling: Gamemmaxx 400 XT w/ Corsair ML120 Elite + 1 ML120 Elite exhaust + 2 ML140 Elite intake

RAM: 2x16GB Netac DDR4 3200MT/s @2666CL13 | GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual +200/+1200MHz/+5%

Storage: 2TB XPG S70 Blade, WD Blue NVMe 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 2TBPSU: Corsair TX550M

Monitor: 2x Pichau Cepheus Fuse 28" 4k 144Hz HDR | Keyboard: Corsair K70 mk.2 Cherry MX Red

Headphone/headset: Kuba Disco Pro/Gamer + Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro | OS: Windows 11 Home

yeh i was trying to do the amd boot kit, but when i contact them i get error that message cant be sent :( they got server problems, so i think to order a athlon 200ge myself ,  and then try to claim the money spent to amd when their servers r fixed again :P ( or just sell it manual )

i think the board is too cheap to have a bios flashback, and i wouldnt dare trying to flash a system that doesnt post from first boot tbh, it prolly bricks it

Well, I doubt they will refund you for that, but you can try, or send it back, or sell it.

And the point of flashback is to use it when you don't have any CPUs to boot, because if you do, you don't need flashback. Good luck with your PC though, hope you can get a solution soon, I know how much it sucks to not be able to use your PC, mine just got taken out of the closet after 2 months without a GPU and a monitor.

As long as you aren't trying to play at 144Hz, your i7 will do just fine, mine is not bottlenecking (2560x1080@75Hz), so yours will be fine at anything but 144Hz+.

And there's no reason for the 200GE not work, it will work.

its bottlenecking me too hard

dropping gpu usage to 60% even on 4k mode and cpu usage 90% easily ( its i5 btw )  im playing games that require cpu juice

Or, you could return your motherboard and get one with BIOS flashback button.

If you want an mATX motherboard, the MSI B450M Gaming Plus works nicely.

Otherwise, AMD does provide a bootkit.

You can certainly get a CPU from a retailer and return it... But that's kind of a scummy move, because they'd be losing money as they cannot resell an open box product as brand new.

Maybe try calling a local store to see if they can upgrade the bios for you with one of their spare CPUs?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Don't do this, that's shitty behavior.

Wait for the boot kit to become available or find another way.

I think accepting this type of behavior is part of why Fry's essentially died.

Years of letting people rent new products for free like a public library with nothing but straight losses.

Empty shelves with nothing but a giant table of return discount stickered items
