Hey guys, so you know about stereo mix on pc to capture entire pc audio? I was wondering, is there a wait to make it capture one specific application instead of the entire pc? Like for example, i'm playing a game but I was to play a song from spotify for someone to hear, but with stereo mix it will also capture my game audio right? What can I do?

  • 2 weeks later...

You can use VAC (Virtual Audio Cable ) or voicemeter search for VB-Audio   that will give you the means of connecting programs to programs  example playback program 1 can be routed to record program 1 or playback program 1 and 2 to recording program 1 and sound card output  it has many ways of connecting the things you want :)

This program is very freakin' good.

AudioHijack

Visual routing is extremely easy and you can even place your own VST effects. Handy for compression, gating, etc. if you have a mic or EQ nasty frequencies of a speaker. Options are endless.

Oh well, didn't know it was OSx only. 'PC' is a deceiving term as a mac/linux/ubuntu -based systems are by definition a 'PS's as well. It's precisely like saying 'computer'.

Try this for Windows:

Thanks, i grew up at a time where you got the "hi I'm a PC" and "hi I'm a mac commercials" so to me anything that's a mac is a mac and not a PC and computer that's not a mac running any is is a pc

Yes, I get it haha. I use both so I'm picky as for terminology. :)
