Hey guys.

First of all I'd like to say I'm not completely sure wether this is the correct sub-forum or not, so please forgive me if i'm putting this post in the wrong sub-forum :(

I have this problem with chrome, where I seem to get ads and weird links and stuff even though I re-installed my chrome, ad block, and so on..

Here's a picture if it helps you http://prntscr.com/2nwf84

As you can see, it says 'Ads by Bettersurf' but I've checked in my control Panel for any program or anything related to bettersurf, but nothing appears. Neither does it in Chrome's Settings for plug-ins and such.

Sometimes it even just opens a random window something like Unibet.dk (Danish Web-Betting machine or something like that) when I try to go to my subscribtion feed on Youtube

Any help ? It's really annoying..

Thanks in Advance. :)

Edit : here's a picture just from this post, and look at all the links :(

Check your browser extensions. Also I've had a friend with a similar issue and the extension would reappear when it was removed from chrome, I had to search his PC for folders that were potentially causing the problem and remove them.

Click the option button at the top right, then scroll over Tools (It's in the middle).

Click on extensions

See if anything there is out of place, like an extension that doesn't seem right

Remove it

I think there is a plugin for chrome and a application for Windows. Un-install those and it should be good.

The only thing There's ''out of place'' is this a ''Media Player'' But it says I can't remove it.. :(

Also I did re-install chrome twice. :(

About the folders that might cause the problem, any idea where they might be located ?

They could be anywhere, and the fact you cant remove that extension is worrying. First start with the extensions folder in the chrome install directory.

Go into the control panel and look the program.

Go into the control panel and look the program.

Seems that this fixed it. I appreciate it :) Will surf around a little and Mark the thread as solved if this completely fixed it.

I don't know why I didn't think of this though, it's usually the first thing I do when something happens and I don't know wth happened. xD
