Question About ASIC Quality.

Ok so i always here saying if you have a high asic quality on your gpu theres no point to watercooling because you wont see much for gains? Is this true? im hitting near 1.4ghz on the core clock of my gpu on air with an asic quality of around 85% Im not a total pro on this asic qualtiy thing but i would imagine regardless of asic quality your gonna see some good gains under water am i correct?

I have 77.9 quality and I hit 1320 core and 8100 mem clocks at 1.2v

 

It's not that great of an indicator, or I guess I have a bad overclocker or something

 

You will see decent gains under water if you have decent clocks and a little more voltage to spare. If you have a dud overclocker, obviously you won't see much.

Is that under water or air though? im just wondering if it would be even worth watercooling? i cant imagine having NO gains because of asic quality. im running 1384mhz core right now with 7ghz memory with 1.2 volts no problem I really wanna break the 1.4ghz threshold i would be pretty disapointed if i couldn't hit that with a lightning

Edit: Keep in mind this is a 780 not a 770 so those are some pretty damn high clocks already
