I have a reasonable rig that I am trying to run X-plane 11 in VR on the HP reverb headset. My rig is a core i9 9900k with an RTX 2080ti and 64Gb DDR4 3200 memory and a samsung 970 evo M.2 PCIe hard drive, all on a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master mobo. I am running highres orbx true earth scenery and can only get about 20fps. I have all cores of the CPU overclocked to 5.1Ghz - as yet I haven't overclocked the graphics. What are the best tools to log CPU, GPU and memory usage for analysis after the simulator use - and are there any sugestions on how to improve the FPS as I sim fly a trick helicopter and the FPS make flying veryu difficult. I need to get this in the best shape possible as I want to pair it with a motion platform. I also have an older rig with a Ryzen 7 2700X and 2 x GTX1080Ti with 32Gb ram and another evo 970 on a Gigabyte AX-370 gaming 5 mobo - I would be happy to combine the 2 rigs together if this would be possible and could help.

Unfortunately Xplane won't use multiple GPUs, so I don't think the old 1080ti rig will have anything to offer.

On a 3440x1440 with a 1080ti and 1950x (at least 1 grade below your rig) I can get 25-30 FPS on custom scenery and planes with good settings except for water which I always turn down to second lowest.

One trick I have learned is Windows won't use the 1950X at max 3.8ghz speed unless I change the minimum processor state power setting to 100%.  It sits around 3.4ghz unless I do that.  There is a few FPS difference by locking it at max speed.

My system is pretty bottlenecked by the 1950X, so your 9900K might not have this issue.

As for tools, I use MSI afterburner to report CPU/GPU speed and usage.  It's very customizable.  There is a way to log with it too, but I have never used it except for real time reporting.

Thanks I will give afterburner a try and see what info I can get

The HP reverb runs at 4320 x 2160 - so a little higher resolution. Which VR are you running to get 25-30FPS and do you find that that is flyable? What do you fly? I fly a robinson R22 fully realistic with heli controls and tuned by a robinson instructor to match the real heli.
