I'm pretty sure that motherboard supports 7.1 audio

You won't need a sound card, but pretty much everyone here will suggest steering away from the gaming headsets and getting dedicated headphones and a cheap microphone. Better sound quality for the same price. I own a pair a Tiamat 7.1's. using them right now. They're alright, but my $120 Sennheisers sound better and they're just over half the price.
