Switchable graphics not working

Hp onyx blizzard power 15 laptop 

switchable graphics 

intel HD 630

Amd Radeon RX 550 2gb dedicated

12GB ddr4 ram

intel Core i5-7300hq

having issues with extremely low FPS even during older games like Diablo 3, Mechwarrior Online, 

and newer games like Doom and PUBG

it ran really well when I bought it 6 months ago

if played with power saving mode and extreme performance settings and spent hours online looking for answers nothing works, AMD  adrenaline  Software profiles don’t help I have a feeling that Windows won’t allow the games to use the Radeon GPU I checked the performance tab in task manager and GPU 0 use is always High (intel) and GPU 1 usage is low (Radeon) please help any suggestions or help would be great.

DDU the drivers and install the original ones from HP's site.

DDU? And already reinstalled the graphics drivers from HP problem is Windows 10 Auto Updates them....Never had a Problem with Catalyst Control Center....now the new  Adrenaline software....also windows installs the driver and device manager titles the GPU as AMD Radeon RX 550 when Adrenaline updates it Device Manager retitles it Radeon 500.....

Update:  laptop has what looks like legacy bios not UEFI...not what I think UEFI looks like anyway....disabled Legacy support and got better FPS 60-105 in game until I connected the AC power then it dropped like a rock to 12-32 FPS what the blazes is going on here.....

Ok second update, realized games ran high FPS on battery power but not on AC power, so ordered a AC adapter and it fixed the problem.
