Can people tell me if this is worth it over the vive, i can get second hand vive for about 30 pounds off of the rift s.

Also please tell me your experiences with the headset because well it would get me excited

I know this post is old, but I thought I'd put in my input.

They both have their ups and downs. With the S being new it is prone to some bugs. Along with the "inside out" tracking it can sometimes mess up.

The Rift basically has compatibility going for it, pretty much any game will run on steam, and with the ability to run room scale setups with 3 trackers is also an added bonus, so if you want to do some full body tracking you'll have to go for a Vive.

It really just boils down to how much do you want to set up? The Rift S I believe does have a "Better" display; however, with the slower response time (Which you may or may not notice) makes it more of a trade off than a straight upgrade on the display.

Personally at this point in time I would go for the rift unless I just could absolutely not setup sensors in my room properly.
