Bluetooth usb dongle?!

MrPenguinPants9

I have a wireless logitech keyboard touchpad combo that uses a usb dongle. I have an iPad mini 4 that is running iPad OS. I want to connect this keyboard to my iPad, but I don't want to deal with the power limitations. Is there a device that will connect to my iPads bluetooth and allow me to plug in the usb dongle? Thank you in advance!

In short, no, if your existing keyboard + mouse are 2.4GHz over a proprietary USB dongle, you'll need to buy a Bluetooh-ready keyboard & mouse. However, some people have had success using a lightning to USB adapter with some USB based wireless keyboard & mice. Also note that you'll need to be running iOS 13 beta or higher for Bluetooth mouse support.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month
Laptop: Dell XPS 15 9560 (the real 15" MacBook Pro that Apple didn't make) Tablet: iPad Mini 5 | Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 10.1
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

It's not 2.4 ghz. Don't know what frequency, but 2.4ghz requires a pairing process, and this keyboard doesn't have that. It's a logitech k400+. I don't think it matters, but thank you for your feedback!

Not 2.4GHz you say? /r/hmmm Logitech's own website begs to differ. https://www.logitech.com/en-ca/product/wireless-touch-keyboard-k400-plus

Then I might have something backwars (that's why you don't buy from Best Buy) but it never has to go through any sort of binding process. Sorry, usually I work with hobby equipment.

It's pre-paired to the USB adapter, but still uses 2.4GHz for its' transmission signal. Again, you might be able to use your keyboard dongle via the Lightning to USB Camera adapter from Apple once iOS 13 is released, but I suspect iOS is only going to play nicely with Bluetooth devices.
