9900K Build Temps

I have recently Built a new systems and seeing high temps at stock.

 

Specs 

I9 9900K

Aorus Master z390

3000Mhz Corsair Platinum

Asus OC 2080ti

H150i AIO

Case Phantom 630

 

I have set it all up did my first stress test with ROGbench after 30min I was at 90c on the CPU stock settings 

 

Next day I re seated the AIO and replace the paste with MX4 re seated and got 88c

 

I started to undervolt now

XMP Enabled

MultiCore Enhancement Enabled 

Vcore 1.14

Load Line Turbo

 

Temps now 

Adia64 72c

ROGBench 76c

 

Case Layout  

Intake 2x140mm 1x200mm Filtered 

Exhaust 1x120mm 380mm Radiator Non Filtered

90C at stock on a 9900k is completely normal. It is a cpu that runs VERY hot.

I had a custom loop with a 360 and a 240 for the 990K - I had to add another 360 because I wasn't happy with the temps. (I wanted it basically silent)

9900K  / Asus Maximus Formula XI / 32Gb G.Skill RGB 4266mHz / 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus & 1TB Samsung 970 Evo / EVGA 3090 FTW3.

2 loops : XSPC EX240 + 2x RX360 (CPU + VRMs) / EK Supremacy Evo & RX480 + RX360 (GPU) / Optimus W/B. 2 x D5 pumps / EK Res

8x NF-A2x25s, 14 NF-F12s and a Corsair IQ 140 case fan / CM HAF Stacker 945 / Corsair AX 860i

Do you have a custom loop or are you using that H150i?

If you have custom loop, what thickness are the radiators? And is the gfx card also in the loop?

 

If you are using the H150i for the cpu, those are good temps.

I am just using a H150i

 

It currently holding at 76c during 3 hours in an ROGBench stress test but the coolant is hitting 49c

I have a i9 9900K too and with my BeQuiet silent loop 360 it's gotten about 82 degrees after 90 minutes of Aida64s stresstest. With the radiator@ 60% fan speed and the case fans on silent mode. I'm pretty pleased with that tbh. I concidered delidding but in a video of "Der 8auer" I saw that the benefit doesn't justify the risk. He got the temps about 6-8 degrees lower by replacing the standard compound with liquid metal and another 2 degrees by placing the cooler directly on the die. But since the 9900K heat spreader is soldered it's quiet risky delidding it...

I will maybe consider undervolting though. Thanks for the data you shared ?
