New build Confusion

I have recently built a new system, my first. I've got a 400w psu, ryzen 3 1200, asrock b450m pro 4 mobo and 8gb ddr4 ram with an msi rx 460. 

I bought my rx 460 through cex, meaning it  is second hand. After building and installing windows I tried to install drivers for my gpu, I kept getting error 43 come up and with a little researched have assumed that the card has been previously used for bitcoin mining, so I resorted to flashing the bios of my gpu which said it was successfully until I restarted my pc, I would get past the bios screen on startup and the windows logo would appear, shortly afterwards the screen would go black and nothing would happen, after a bit of fiddling I resorted to wiping everything from my hard drive and re installing windows, now when I restarted I could get into windows but in device manager my gpu didn't show up, I thought maybe I need to install the drivers for my gpu again for it to recognise it, I began the download and about half way through the screen went black and is unresponsive, I restarted the computer and it was back to the way it was before booting and going black, I wondered if I bricked my gpu when I flashed it. I tried running the video through the motherboards vga and the hdmi both provided no signal. I'm not sure what is the problem whether its my gpu or mobo or what? 

 

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

ryzen 3 1200 doesnt have an iGPU so you definitely can't get a display out from the mobo.

 

Your GPU was probably flashed with a mining bios, and likely got bricked when you tried to flash it with a normal bios again.

Thanks I thought I had bricked it. I think I'll be buying a new gpu instead of a second hand one to save the hassle

but first investigate on how to recover the rx, i heard it can be done

I've had a look and unbricking a gpu is above my ability, I might try it in the future but for now I think I'll get a gtx 1050ti or something similar

if you can, go over that 1050, a second hand 1060 or something more powerful

and yes, unbrick that rx, is a decent gpu

I'm thinking of getting an rx570 as the benchmarks look better for the same price
