Those car guys amongst you can squirm, I made an awful reference.

Specs:

i7 5820k

Gigabyte SOC x99

Asus Turbogtx 1080

Mish match because I am cheap 24gb ram (2x Gskill 8gb 2400MHz + 2x Team group 4gb 3000MHz)

500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD

2x WD Black 750gb

Difficulties of building:

1. Cleaning. Bloody hell this thing smelt like someone had spilt the contents of a pigs stomach over the case. it reeked so bad. Can't complain as it was free. Just took a hell of a lot of alcohol and air freshener to get this thing to smell "normal" and to be clean enough to put any sort of modern component in.

2. No air intake or mounting for the 240mm radiator. I ended up resorting to "drillium" the technique usually used to make things lighter. I drilled a bunch of holes on the 5" 1/4 bays in the end (not shown in pictures) to allow a more healthy airflow rate leading to temperatures that weren't hotter than the middle of a freshly baked apple pie.

3. mounting that eatx mobo in there. I just used some silicon from the back as supports, should hopefully keep the noise lower as well.

Overall I am happy for the way this thing turned out. This is my daily driver. This serves as my editing and gaming rig (Am an aspiring video editor) occasionally I will do a bit of creo (3D modelling) so serves great for that purpose.

Thought this belonged here and am interested to hear your feedback.
