Hi everyone!

I'm new here so please go easy :)

So, recently I upgraded a few things in my pc and now if I run my ram at the advertised speeds I get very crackly audio and unexpected restarts every 20 odd minutes.

My Components are as follows;

CPU & Cooler  - 3700x (new) , Nzxt Kraken x42

Motherboard - Asrock Taichi x470 (new) (latest available BIOS)

Ram - Gskill trident Z 2 x 8gb @3200Mhz (new)

Gpu - Gigibyte Rx580

Case - NZXT s340 elite

Power supply - Thermaltake RGB 750 80plus gold (new)

Storage - Kingston 2.5' SSD 240gb and Seagate Barracuda 2tb

Operating system - Windows 10 pro 64bit

Things I have done so far are replace the motherboard and ram,  memtest (no issues), fresh installed windows, pulled apart and put back together, updated drivers and BIOS to the latest available and built as a "minimal system" and tested.

The only thing that seems to resolve the issue is dropping the ram speed to under 3000Mhz (at 3000Mhz I don't get audio issues but I do get shutdowns), I am currently stable at 2800mhz but would like to run at advertised speeds.

Has anyone seen this? Would love some help here if possible and if I've missed anything please let me know :)

Have you tried different timings while on 3000/3200 MHz? It sounds like they may be unstable with your clock speeds.

Ok, so I've spent the last hour or so messing with timings and the issue seems to persist.

I'm starting to resign myself to the idea that I just can't go above 2800Mhz
