Is my projector dead?

Hello everybody!

 

So I had planned to have a friend over this weekend coming so I thought I would fire up my projector to make sure it is working. All goes well for about an hour and then the brightness half and when I turn it off and on again I get this:

There are no warning lights that have gone off or anything. The only thin I knew was that it still had 1000+ hours left on the lamp.

 

The model for the projector is an Acer XD1150

Lamp is probably dead.

Yeah looks like the lamp is dead was there any yellow lines or dim spots random coulers before the projecter died if so they would be warnings the bulb was dying :-(

No The colour was just fine no yellow lines or anything I got the old message saying it had only 25% of its life time left but I checked on it a while ago still said It had 1000 hours and I know I have not used it for that long.  But thanks for all the help I have ordered a new lamp.
