Best CPU for workload

Hi,

 

I am the go to hardware guy for one of my friends and he asked me what the best HW config would be for his workload. Sadly I have no idea about the programs he uses, so maybe one of you guys could help me?

 

The workload in question:

  • Cinema4D: Handling of many objects and high polycount
  • ZBrush: High polycount during sculpting
  • Octane: High polycount and large textures can crash the program.

As Jurrunio stated, we need a budget before anyone can make any recommendations. A great workstation cpu would be the i9 9980XE however, the chip alone cost $2,599 CAD. A more affordable workstation cpu would be the Ryzen 7 2700X. A lot would recommend the 3700X but the 2700X is selling for an unbeatable price at the moment and still a great performer in multi threaded workloads.
