5700XT for 3440x1440?

Hey guys I'm putting together a list and I thought I'd see what you guys think of the 5700XT as an option. I'm planning on getting a 3440x1440 Acer ED7 34" and I like eye candy so 60 fps is my target.

It'll push that monitor for you, probably better than 60 fps in most games.

They're claiming the 5700XT is almost 1080Ti performance, so he can do Ultra and get over 60.  Tho with that 2400G as the cpu, maybe cut back to High.

In your dreams!!!  3440x1440 is for 2080Ti .  1080p and 1440p is for 5700XT and 2070.  Then 1440p is for 2070 and 2080 and 4k @ 60fps is for 2080Ti.  Also my settings in all AAA titles is ultra high and everything turned on.  Also nVidia panel everything is set to on and max and all AA methods used and 1440p gaming and I get triple digit fps in modern AAA titles.    The 5700XT is in between a 2060 and a 2070 so at max you can game at 1440p but not 3440x res,,, lol  Unless you want 60fps instead of 120fps... sighs

a 2070 can push that resolution at 60fps, which is what OP wants. And considering the 5700XT is slightly better than the 2070 (non super) iirc, he should be fine. No need to spend €1300

DIdn't mean to be harsh,, Sorry.  Perhaps your fine with 60fps sustained so then ya you can use 3440x res.  So when I said in your dreams I meant you wont get incredible triple digit fps performance at that resolution thats all.  You can enjoy 1440p at high frame rates with the 5700XT.  I would throw some AA at that res as well and you will not see a single jaggie.  But ya most hardcore gamers will take FPS over a horizontal 3440res.  I came from that avenue to my remark to you.  But as I said if your content with 60fps then yes you can run 3440x1440.

I think youll be sustained at 60fps easy.  I don't think it will drop below 60fps in any modern AAA titles.  So ya expect 60fps and higher sustained pretty much.

Look at the 3600 as well, great price to performance.

 

With either of those, you'll push that monitor just fine.

Just wait for the 2080 Super.
