Top of the line gaming PC

My current PC is dying and I'm looking to buy a new top of the line gaming machine.

I will be recycling the RTX 2080 Ti.

I don't have a budget cap, I simply want the best machine (without going into marginal upgrades) under the following parameters:

  • minimal noise levels
  • portability (I need to carry my case between my workstation setup and my VR setup, which is in different rooms)
  • performance in VR (Vive Pro) & 2560x1440 @ 144Hz

I explicitly don't care about:

  • RGB
  • see through case (I prefer rigidity & silence)
  • sound card (I have Sound Blaster ZxR that I will be recycling)

That's reusing the graphics card and RAM, and without peripherals or an OS.

It does have some RGB, but they're behind a side panel, so...

Screwdriver specs: Long, pointy. Turns things. Some kind of metal.

Main rig:

i9-7900x | Asus X299-Prime | 4x8GB G-Skill TridentZ @3300MHz | Samsung 970 Evo 500GB | Intel 5400S 1TB | Corsair HX1200

unRAID server:

Xeon  E5-1630v4 |  Asus X99-E WS | 4x8GB G-Skill DDR4 @2400MHz | Samsung 960 EVO 250GB cache drive | 12TB spinning rust | Corsair RM750X

FreeNAS server:

AMD something-or-other | Asus prebuilt sadness | 8GB DDR3-1600 | 9TB magnetic storage | Potential fire threat

HTPC:

i7-4790 | GTX1650 | Dell Sadness | 12GB DDR3-1600 | Samsung 860 250GB | 1TB magnetic storage | James Loudspeaker SPL3 x2 | Corsair SF450

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master is a better board for less money.

I would go D15 or Dark rock Pro 4 over the older D14.

Couldn't agree more on the cooler, but I couldn't find the D15 on pcpartpicker.

A bit more expensive but worth it imo. The D14 is still a good cooler though, but might as well get the updated version.

I sit corrected.
