blu ray for movies and such, i was told i may have a SSD bottleneck with cache.

Don't bother with the blue ray drive. Just buy a cheap blu-ray player instead. You'll need to spend extra for software to actually play blu-ray on your pc and at that point you might as well just buy a bluray player instead and save yourself some cash and the headache.
