Gtx 1080 with ryzen 1500x

omeir20003

Currently, I have a ryzen 1500x paired with a sapphire Rx 580 4gb, with a 500w evga power supply.  I was wondering if I have enough watts in my power supply to go with a gtx 1080

I have a power meter and I calculated what my consumption is on full load and its 386w with rx 580, so its gonna be enough?

The 1080 uses less power than your current 580 so you will be fine

Yes. it may be only 10-20 Watts less during gaming but if your pc can handle the 580, it will work with the 1080 just fine

Power should be fine. Only concern would be the cpu.

What's the make and model of the PSU? If you have one that's bad quality, it doesn't matter how many watts it has, keep it away from a 1080.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Make sure you quote people or use @omeir20003 so people see your responses

Should be enough for the time being, at least it's not one of their 80+ white units.

Ok, so I was wrong I have a 600w psu but I'm worried my psu will not have the 2 pairs of connectors to connect to gtx 1080
