Upgrade

Hi Im on a budget is a ryzen 5 1600 and good choice in 2019 for an upgrade from a 1300x

Depends on you. But I believe the more cores, the better.

not quite...

how much is your budget? get a gpu upgrade usually benifits the most, depends on your use case too

Thanks for your help I just asking because there going cheap on amazon I have got a gtx 1060 6gb so hopefully if I upgrade to a 1600 it will perform better

It would be a great upgrade, although I'd check the R5 2600.

That's good enough I guess (although there are cheaper ones on Aliexpress but that's a risk I guess) 

Again, checking the benchmarks, it's 10% better across  the board from your current processor, and performs 30-40% more on some aspects. So that's good.
