CPU Usage Extremely high in Miscreated

I have an I5-4690 and have had issues running Miscreated. I've ran the taskbar performance while running Miscreated(dual monitor setup so I could run both at the same time) and my CPU runs anywhere from 75% to 100%. I know that Miscreated is a CPU intensive game, but I've never had this issue when running any other games, even during the most stressful benchmarks my CPU hit 100% and I never had an issue, yet when I play Miscreated, I crash the second it hits 100%. I've tried everything I can to get it to work, but it just won't run any longer than a few seconds. For added info, my disk and gpu usage never exceed 50% same with Memory usage. I don't understand what is causing this. PUBG causes my CPU to run at high usage, but it rarely ever crashes, same with ARK Survival and many other CPU intensive games. Can anyone help me at all? I'm at a loss. I've tinkered with this for well over 12 hours and am at the point where I just want to pull my hair out!

Get a better cpu. Or check YouTube, normally some fixes there for games with cpu usage issues. That’s what I do for black ops 4, simply mod the ini to allow it to use more cores 

 

Or try to up the resolution in game and see if it helps any.

I ended up figuring it out. I had a virus on drive 0 of my hdd which is the os boot drive. I did a fresh install of windows and completely wiped my hdd and now I have no issues whatsoever. Thanks for the tips though!
