Hi all,

Constructive feedback only please and thank you.

Photos saved from the messages app do not show up in the photos app or the files app.  Does anybody know if they go elsewhere or if my config is just somehow broken right now?  Thanks.  I am running the iOS 13/ iPadOS public beta right now so that could be it but just wondering if there is any other possible cause of my problem.

Thanks!!

~Michael

Did you actually save the photos to the Photos app, or were they just in your Messages?

You can set messages to delete themselves after enough time passes, and if you didn't deliberately save the photos, that would explain it.

Screwdriver specs: Long, pointy. Turns things. Some kind of metal.

I saved the photos just like I do on my phone, pressing and holding on the photo in the messages app and then hitting save when it comes up as an option.

Nope... I actually don’t even have a camera roll folder, and my iCloud photo backup is turned off so I should have one.
