9700k high temp

Go to solution Solved by TheKDub,

What cooler?

75c is fine. A little toasty, but nothing to worry too much about, especially when OC'd to 5GHz.

hello, I built a system with a 9700k and an air cooler. I have overclocked it to 5.0ghz, and it is stable, but in r6 my temps go up to 70 degrees C average, and a maximum of 75. I am worried that this is unhealthy for my cpu. I want to know if it will die earlier, or if that temperature is too high for my 9700k. I'm fine with the extra noise but my old CPU went up to like 60 degrees and I just don't want to damage my CPU.
