HDD dying or something else?

I am getting a bad hdd notification on WD sentinel. Had a Boot drive crash few (6+ ) months back, but restored windows and no issues so far except the attached results. Btw it has been the same results since the last 6 months or so.

Is it a dying HDD or something else?

I wouldn't have put up with that for 1 day.  Buy an SSD and enjoy.  Get off of HDD's if you can.

 

Either way, replace that drive.

Well if that thing has data on it back it up now before the drive dies

 

don't use that drive anymore it clearly has some problems just buy a new one to be safe

It's a sign that the HDD could fail in the near future. I've had a HDD that's given me failure warnings for about a year and a half, but never once have I had an issue with it. Do I store important data on it? Hell no. Replace it and use it as a backup drive until it fails.

Would you drive a car in that condition? 

 

Replace it, even if it has stupid SpongeBob episodes on it.  It's going to fail and it's basically beating you on the head telling you to replace it.  

 

It really can't be any clearer.
