Im currently looking into renting some space to host my mining rigs. My operation is getting too large for my house and I plan on adding a new rig every other week here pretty soon. Im shopping around for warehouse space but I can't find anything less than 500 sq ft.

Anyone know of a place that I can rent space with lots of electricity available? Would it be possible to get space in a data center? I do live in Research Triangle Park home to IBM, Cisco, and a handful of other large companies....

I'm not sure where to look.

I'm willing to pay for electricity. Its 9 cents per kWh here.

Can't help much really, I'm not from anywhere near you. Look for small offices with window access. You shouldn't tell them exactly what you plan doing in there (even if there's nothing wrong with it, some people might think you are pirating the FBI or whatever) but you should give them a figure on your consumption.

Spoiler

I've found a few options that im looking into, what I really found to be the better deal is find friends and relatives that would be willing to let me put a rig with 4x 290 in their garage, and in return I would pay their power bills for their entire house.

You should tell them that a rig heats the place a lot and that they can pretty much turn all heating off in the room or area. Yes you have to power the rig but they'll save on heating.

Rent an apartment.

That's another option. I found apartments that are affordable (~$500) that would suit my needs. The only problem is that they are in the sketchy part of town and if they saw some white kid unloading expensive computer parts and then leaving for weeks at a time, I don't think that would go that well. I've also considered offering my college friends to pay for half their rent, and then just taking up one room of a 2 bedroom apartment. I'll keep looking but my best option is to rent space from friend and family that have a garage.
