ALL OF MY COMPONENTS HAVE THEIR LATEST DRIVERS

Motherboard: Asus Prime B350 Plus

PSU: Corsair CX500 Bronze

CPU: Ryzen R5 1500X @ 3.6GHz and 1.2v

GPU: Red Dragon RX580@ 1120Mhz core and 2000Mhz Mem clock

Storage: 1x 2TB Seagate Firecuda SSDH, 1x 1TD Western Digital Blue HDD, 1x 1TB ADATA SSD

RAM: 8GB 2400MHz Memory @ 1.2v

I am able to do web browsing and light gaming, such as HOI4, but even games such as CSGO will crash the after some time, and I am unable to figure why. Games that are more graphically intensive, such as Arma 3, crash faster, but I had the same issue to a slightly lesser degree with my old R9 280X. It's quite hard to track, and I am not sure how to track it in the first place. When my system crashes, my monitor and peripherals will turn off as well as sound, but the fans in my PC will ramp up and the system will continue running. If anyone could be of help, it would be appreciated.

Usually if a system is shutting down under load, its due to either thermal issues, or power supply issues. In your case, I would say likely Power supply problems.

Wouldn't this PSU be good enough for the load though? As my thermals are well under control, I guess you may be right.

it should be... but with anything and everything, there is always going to be lemons that don't always make lemonade.

Just as I was reading to your reply it turned off, fun. I guess I may just have to get a new one.

Also, your system could be corrupted! Your thermals and graphics can be the reason but try something simpler and run these following 2 commands in CMD:

1. CHKDSK

2. sfc /scannow

If possible, another thing you could do is testing the GPU in another machine and check to see if the problem persists...

Thank you, I'm doing this now. Also, just should let you know since you work at Seagate, I just bought a Firecuda 2TB drive and love it!

Unpack and run the exe. Go to options when first launched and check/set prompt for safe mode - exit program and launch again. Now it ask to reboot into safemode click ok. Then pc restarts and boots to safemode.

After you have run DDU then install graphics drivers again - download from AMD - https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580

My main issue has been installing DDU, as I can't set where to unpack it without the unpacking program freezing or crashing, and once when I was able to unpack it I had no .exe within the folder.

Okay try downloading 7-zip instead https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1900-x64.exe - then you can just double click the icon and it will unpack and load the exe

It has worked! Thank you! I also had just taken the card apart, and had to take the shroud off to test if it works in the other pci-e slot since the card was too long otherwise, that may have also the solution, but I don't care, as long as I can edit and play games now. Thank you so much for the help!

I'm glad to know that everything is working well but not as much as knowing the good taste you have for HDDs! ??
