Check your 24-pin and 8-pin connections on the mobo (and PSU if fully-modular). When you say it won't boot, can you elaborate? When you press the power button, does it get to the point where you can go to the BIOS, or does it just shut down immediately? Also make sure both connections from the PSU to the wall are secure.

What cpu do you have though? Does it have an igpu?

Yeah but have you checked all the cables? Because replacing the PSU also replaces every cable in the pc so one might be lose.

Maybe the PSU is DOA. Did it come with a self-tester so you can check if it's turning on properly? (it's a little 24pin with 2 connectors bridged)

I have a ryzen 7 1700X so it doesn't. I've tried all the connectors because I went from non modular to modular and it didnt come with one.

your problem is that you are trying to boot without a gpu. the ryzen 7 doesn't have an igpu you need a graphics card with that cpu

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

Or did it also not work with the GPU installed?
