Hello, I am experiencing a border problem with both my monitors, which are Benq GL2250 HDMI x2. The border goes around the whole screen however at the top of the screen there is a gap, I am using an Nvidia GPU. I have tried using the overscan/underscan features along with other options within the Nvidia control panel however it had no effect. Any additional solutions would be helpful.

This problem has persisted through 4 different GPUS. 2 AMD and 2 NVIDIA, i have tried using both VGA and HDMI however the border has persisted.

The monitor settings may have features for overscan/underscan (not related to the GPU, but on the monitor itself);  You might also try using a different video source like VGA or DVI to see if the issue persists on those inputs

If I have to explain every detail, I won't talk to you.  If you answer a question with what can be found through 10 seconds of googling, you've contributed nothing, as I assure you I've already considered it.

What a world we would be living in if I had to post several paragraphs every time I ask a question.

so I'll take it you chose to disregard this part?

I've had to 'fix' 4 BenQ monitors where I work in the last week and I found the settings menu as the best place to start.

have you used the MONITOR'S SETTINGS MENU or just the NVidia control panel?  The two are different.

Other things to try:

-plugging in a single monitor only (in case Windows is being Windows)

-try a lower resolution to see if the border disappears (in the off chance that the monitors have some identical manufacturing defect)

-"factory reset" option in the monitor settings (I've seen it work miracles)

-Windows safe mode (or just boot into your BIOS menu) - does the issue persist there where the graphics output should be very base-level?
