Dimm slot failure

Is there a way to bring back a bad dimm slot?  I do not see any foreign debri. Used air to clean so far. Tested with good ram and if I place a good ram in slot PC won’t boot, gives error of bad ram. This is a Dell Optiplex 3020 with i5-2400 currently installed. I have in working slot a 4 gig stick. Thank you for your support

Is your CPU socket fine? No bent/broken pins?
