hi

i have a dell inspiron 15

long story short the machine is not detecting any hard drives when they are connencted and powered

 

i got on ssd on the  machines hdd slot

i got a 1tb on a optical to sata disck bay

 

ive checkd to see if its the connections but this is not possible they are getting power

can you see the disks in bios?

are the disks detectable if you connect them to another PC by any means?

 

yes the diskss are good i checked them on another latop

"hard drive not installed"

yea its powering on and booting puppy linux on my usb but it doesnt seem to see the disks in bios

this started hapenning a while back .just started tearing apart the machine to fix it

yes aot of chnages have been made and reverted etc,

in bios i set an admin password as well as a hard drive password

 

that very same hard drive with that password has since been rewritten in gparted to try to insall puppy in .

i did try loading defualts
