YMail account

one of my friend had facebook linked to his old ymail account, and he didnt have 2way authentication enable on facebook, he removed facebook app on his phone for some reason and now again want to log in and facebook asks him to use code generator but he cant use it as he is unable to use facebook messager . now he is trying to sign into his ymail account and it says "sorry we don't recognize that email address" 

how can he get his ymail back ?

i have yahoo mail account and i never use it, yesterday i logged into like after 5 years or more but it still works and my account has not been removed from yahoo mail server, i think his ymail account has been removed from their server, how come this happened to him ?

any help on getting his ymail account back ?

If by Ymail you mean that the address ends in ymail.com then it's likely that you friend will have to type the full address in for it to be recognised just typing the user ID might have yahoo thinking that it's a yahoo.com or .co.uk account and can't find it.

 

Regardless, have your friend type in the full email address if that hasn't already been done to see if yahoo recognises it then.

he gave me his password also, i tried full address, it still says sorry we don't recognize that email address"
