Is VNC the best or are there better programs?

Chrome has remote access ive been using it for a bit now and its great, that or teamviewer is also a good one they are probably your easiest ways to be able to achieve your intended result that is one way. or you could use the built in remote access on windows if that's what you are using and forward port 3389 with your computers IP their should be some videos online for that but id recommend getting a program called no-ip and create a free domain and just downloads onto your computer and runs in the background and it also keeps your external IP up to date with your free domain. then you can connect using your domain or external IP in the app for your phone.

Radmin is the best imo. And I was using remote desktop, vnc, team viewer, remote utilities, log me in and probably few more. I work from many years on Radmin controlling many remote computers.

It's paid software, but is cheap and you can use it for month for free (fully functional). And payment is lifetime.

It uses direct connection, so there is no main server somewhere between you and remote pc.

External ip and port forward required.
