I have a question. If I add a second gpu to my PC, can I mine with that second gpu without effecting my pcs performance? I have a plan for the thermals so don't worry about that.

My rig: Cpu: AMD 8350 | Cooler: Corsair h100i with Noctua nf-f12 fans | Ram: 8gb 1600 corsair vengeance | Hard Drive: 2x 1tb wd drives in raid 1 | SSd: 128gb plextor m5p  | Motherboard: asrock extreme9  | Graphics card: amd 7850 2gb | Power Supply: ocz modular | Case: cooler master cm 690 ii          Peripherals: | Monitor: x-star 1440p | Mic: blue snowball  | Keyboard: Flashget G600  | Mouse: No name |

So it wont slow down my PC at all right?

Well....it would load your second gpu. But your first gpu should be fine for gaming and stuff.

It would mean that your primary GPU would only have a x8 PCI-E connection if you were to add another card. Not sure if it would have a large impact on performance though.

It wouldn't. 8x PCIe doesn't affect GPUs at all. GPUs are yet to saturate even PCIe 2.0 8x, let alone 3.0

I actually think I recall you saying that before now that you mention it. My bad, I'm not into mining so I only know what I learnt for normal use and gaming.
