F@H Multi-GPU Question

Go to solution Solved by tk421,

Yes you can. The cards don't need to be in SLI/Crossfire to do F@H, BOINC or mining. Because they're doing their own thing technically, and also not outputting an image.

Yes, you can add as many GPUs as your motherboard supports. F@H doesn't support sli/crossfire and looks at each GPU separately. This means you could have a GT 640, GTX 760, and an HD 7870 all in the same computer. Each gets assigned a separate work unit.

Thanks!

Hi!

I feel like this should be obvious but for folding, can you run multiple graphics cards without them being in crossfire or sli?  I see great local deals on used cards and I would like to boost my PPD.  I upgraded my graphics card to be able to accomodate another card but I didn't want to have to search for my exact card.  Can I just grab any card and run it independently?
