Help me plan my Zen 2 build

Hey LTT forum,

 

So with Zen 2 around the corner and my 'itch' acting up again I decided to upgrade my system.

From my current build I plan to keep the GPU, Storage HDD, NVME SSD and probably the CPU cooler, so this is almost a fully new build.

This system will solely be used for gaming, I play CSGO a lot so I hope AMD is at least equal to Intel in this game by now, and other than that I play loads of different games.

Also I'll overclock the cpu as high as I can.

 

CPU: 3700X (or 3800X if it OC's higher) or if I can't contain myself the 3900X

Mobo: no clue so far, maybe ASUS if their MemOpti whatever technology isn't a gimmick, I want something solid that doesn't completely breaks the bank (Crosshair VIII Hero if its affordable)

RAM: 2x8GB of something fast

GPU: Asus Dual GTX 1070 (fixed as this comes from my current build)

PSU: Corsair HX750 V2 (I want an PSU that lasts me a decade and gives me the most stable power for overclocking, efficiency is less important so doesn't have to be platinum rating)

CPU Cooler: Currently Corsair H115i, might switch to D14 of D15 if I think I could get a higher OC, I really want to go custom wc again but I don't want to pay for it again

Case: NZXT H510i looks really cool but I'm worried about its cooling performance

 

So yeah, shoot! I know we still don't know a lot about the motherboards or what memory will perform best but whatever.

If you're going for an air cooler, the Fractal Design Meshify C has plenty of airflow to feed the cooler
