Hi, I have an issue with my Dell E6540 with a Radeon HD 8790M. Every time i try to overclock it doesnt realy change nothing... My laptop was slow so i went to the google and found that i can boost my laptops performance by simply downloading something and using it. It worked for while, than my CPU started throtteling so i went here to ask for help, guys over here helped my a lot. Everything was okey but than i played something and i got wary low FPS so i tried:

Updating the BIOS,

Installing AMD Radeon Softwere,

Installing more Dell drivers,

ReInstalling Windows,

Changing Power Plan to High Performance,

Unlocking core voltage in MSI Afterburner,

Non of tham worked so i am here asking for help...

Checking GPU and CPU Temperatures: (GPU=50°-73°), (CPU=60°=76°),

Please help me cose i realy dont know what to do at this point.

Try use pre-Crimson driver or better use pre-Crimson Leshcat's driver. https://sourceforge.net/projects/leshcatlabs/

What did you download? Your CPU start throttling because thermal?

okey i did my research and... i found out that when (completely random) my GPU overclocks (using MSI Afterburner) it can push the max clock that my gpu is capable of. But there is a big problem that i dont understand: when it does my CPU by 15-25 min. goes form 3.2GHz to about 0.88GHz and it is impossible to play something like Minecraft what is mor of CPU game i found out that my pc can run without any problems 82FPS at Minecraft whitout overclocking my GPU what is fine but it isnt very good if my game is droping but with the GPU overclicked Minecraft goes above 140FPS so yea and i also have 75Hz monitor and on 85FPS droping to 57 i hate it and if it is going max on GPU and 0.88GHz on CPU it gets like 10FPS so yea. I tried: undervolting CPU same as CPUs Cache and a lot on CPUs GPU and it did nothing and i also tried using Throttlestop but than the Afterburner doesnt wors so i need your help please!

i did download MSI Afterburner and my thremals are at max CPU: 76° and GPU: 71° so i dont see a mutch truble with that. I see more truble with the power limit throtteling

What do you mean by very low FPS? Did you get something like 10 FPS less or a huge hit like 50 FPS?

If you decrease the CPU performance to help with throttling its for sure gonna have a fps hit

I Hit whit the GPU at max and cpu throtteling like a 15-25FPS in Minecraft so... yea i meen... i think like lots of paple say that Minecraft is mor of a CPU game but the gpu helps me more in general than my CPU but the CPU throtteling is something that when it happens it absolutely destroys the performance that the GPU is giving me

Power limit throttling? Maybe your power brick couldn't supply enough juice anymore.

You can try download ThrottleStop by UncleWebb and force the CPU to max out its frequency but do it at your own risk.

i tried using throttlestop but as i said the gpu overclocks completely random so i cant tell when my gpu will overclock and when i will have the chance to max the cpu performance and i thought also about the power brick thing but this laptop has officially in it this gpu and the gpus core clock is:

850 MHz and i think that this laptop is designed to hold max gpu and cpu so i dont know what to do and i aslo instaled the latest BIOS and Drivers
