I live in NZ and have a budget of around 2.5k NZD (About $1,630 US and $2,200 Canadian). Im probobly only going to use the system for gaming at this point and have a rough system outline at the moment. Id love some criticism about the build just to see if i can improve on it

CPU

Intel i5 9600K with a Cooler master Master liquid ML240L for cooling

Mobo

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi (Ethernet is a bit of a hastle)

Storage

1TB Seagate Barracuda and a 250Gb Samsung 860 Evo (Sata)

RAM/Memory

16GBs of Team Night hawk 3200mhz memory (gotta get that RGB cough 10% performance improvement cough)

GPU

This is my main point of trouble its a tie between team red and team green either a Strix Vega 64 or a Gigabyte Windforce 2070, the Vega costs slightly less and i have a freesync moniter (not G-sync compatible, trust me I cheecked ;-; ) but the 2070 has a better performance plus Real time ray tracing

PSU

Seasonic focus plus gold 650w

Case

My freind gave me an old case that he wasn't using anymore because i expressed an intrest on building a pc i think its a Fractal Design Focus G from what ive seen online and it came with the mobo and ram listed above because he wasn't using it anymore so i cant really change the mobo despite the Ryzen 3000 series coming soon.

Plus i will be getting some fans (RGB of course) to help cool the system, mainly the graphics card because of the AIO CPU cooler.

Please reply just to leave some thoughts or suggestions to the build as i said before i would love some critique as this is my first personal build and would love to future proof as much as possible.

Thanks :)

Go ryzen then for smt, cheaper & more threads. 7/7 for 3rd gen if you can wait

you can always sell the mobo

there are ways to force freesync or gsync on it (don't ask me how tho)

Did see the AMD stuff im not really aloud to sell stuff on 2nd hand platforms seeing as im 16, might get a low profile noctua instead of an AIO and I can easily "borrow" an old SSD from one of the older broken school PCs that nobody wants to fix

Also dont know how to quote things on a phone (dont have a pc :( )

If you need all parts minus that case, I'd do this. But hold on:

After rereading, you have a FREE Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi and 32GB FREE DDR4 3200? (That's a good friend!)

Then just do this!:
