Hi all,

I'm going to buy a desktop in July and I'm curious how I can best spend my money. I calculated that I will have around 1235,- (euro) or with maybe some luck 1369,- (euro). I want to be able to stream (good hardware encoding) and if possible be prepared for playing in VR. I'm thinking about the AMD Ryzen series as they apparantly proof they are powerfull with heavy workloads and have pretty much the same chipset so it's easy to upgrade when needed (or, at least, that's what I'm told).

Do you guys have any advice on this topic?

Kind regards,
Ruben

Oh, awesome! Do we know the prices from them yet? Will there maybe be discounts upon release on the previous gen of Ryzen CPUs?

The only prices I have seen are for US$. I haven't seen any prices for Europe as yet.

Are there any (theoretical) setups based on the info?

There are new boards coming out as well on the X570 chipset, and probably B550 which will be cheaper. There are no details yet though on that chipset. All we have seen so far is X570 pictures. If you are looking for a 6 core then the R5 3600/X will be the one to go for, or if Ryzen R5 2600/X or R7 2700/X drop in price then you might get a bargain come July.

As you are not building until July then I would wait and see what the reviews are like.
