So I just downloaded THX and saw something called "Crossover Frequency" and it goes from 10Hz to 1000Hz,
My headphones says they have a frequency from 15-28000Hz but i don't know nothing about sound..
I just wondering what is the best frequency for my headphones, or what frequenzy i will get the best sound quality from.
I sure have to learn more about this myself, but if anyone of you can give me a start with it, it had been awesome :)

Sooo, I am not sure what the cross over frequency is but the frequency response on your headphones is the frequencies that they can operate at and recreate, the lower the number the lower in pitch. I might do some googling for you on the crossover frequency thing.

The first step to insanity is believing in your sanity.

ok frequency response is from where to where a speaker responds low 15hz to high 28khz the crossover frequency is a cutoff point to avoid distortion since your using one driver for the entire range. so think of it as a drop off point at 30hz ( anything lower will cause distortion unless your using a dedicated sub that can take it ) for headphones you will start to hear clicking from where the driver is bouncing in and out and you can damage the driver.

to understand better think of it as cycles 1hz = 1 per second the issue comes up when a speaker needs to go up and down at say 15hz so 15 times a second and then at 9khz 9,000 times a second that switch is what causes clicking. so to avoid it there are certain limits where drivers can naturally mix and blend thus the crossover cut off point anything lower than that you need a sub and amp capable of it.

ooh found it its about making your tweeters and subwoofer and other speakers only play the frequencies those support. xonar cards call it flexbass.

It is the cutoff of the frequencies for different speakers, it doesn't make much sense for the software to allow you to control that in a pair of headphones though as there are only 2 speakers that do all of the work... It is more for setups with at least 2.1 so that you can tell the bass to play (for an example) everything under 50hz and the monitors to play everything above that.

The first step to insanity is believing in your sanity.

it just sucks THX only has a low frequency crossover support and no high frequency crossover support.
