XMP profile crashing

I have a B450 Aorus M Motherboard with a 1700X overclocked to 3.9 GHZ, I have the 16GB Team Nighthawk RGB 3200. When I run the XMP profile from the Bios It runs at 3200 but I run into my games crashing like cs go. I went into the BIOS and clocked the memory to 3000 and I dont get any crashes. Should I try just overclocking the memory to 3200 not using the xmp profile?

Yeah generally you can get better speeds and timings manually entering in everything compared to XMP. I have never had XMP work well
