Yeah, your system probably only uses around 250w looking at your specs.

Forgot to mention, make sure you get the one with the grey label which is the new one, and not the one with the orange label which is the older version.

If you're planning on upgrading the system sometime soon you might want to grab the CX450 (2017, grey label) for $69. The CX450 is a better PSU than the VS450, but for your current system the VS450 would be fine.

Same prices at Scorptec/Mwave/PCCG (PCCG is in Melbourne so you'd need to pay for shipping)
Scorptec has a shop in Auburn and Mwave has a pick up location in Lidcombe.

One of my sata cables plastic as broken off exposing the pins. I just found out that it was exposed so i don't know what happened to it. Can I just wrap it around some electrical tape and it will be fine. I'm not keen on replacing my whole power supply just because of that cable.

My power supply is a cooler power 650.

Can you post a photo of the label on your PSU?

Is it held together with masking tape? What happened there?
That's not a good PSU. You should replace it. What are your system specs and we can recommend something to replace it with.

The masking tape there is just used to hold the label. I've got another PSU i can use. Is this alright?

Doesn't look much better than the other one.
I'd recommend buying a new PSU. What country are you in? System specs?

Scorptec and Mwave have the Corsair VS450 for $49. If you can get out to Lidcombe/Auburn you can pick up from the store to save on delivery.

That's not bad. Will 450W be enough though? I want to overclock my GPU to get a bit more performance out of it.

Yeah, your system probably only uses around 250w looking at your specs.

Forgot to mention, make sure you get the one with the grey label which is the new one, and not the one with the orange label which is the older version.

It's worse than the VS450 and costs more.

If that store is closer then spend the extra $10 and get this https://www.jw.com.au/corsair-cx450-450w-80-plus-bronze-power-supply-cp-9020120-au
