Hey, I'm designing a new build and wondering where I can shave off a few bucks. PS: I do need the blu-ray burner

I shaved off $45 by making some insignificant changes (and also bumped you up to 3000MHz RAM instead of 2666MHz):

 

 

You can save more by going with the UD motherboard instead, but if I remember correctly I think you chose this motherboard for the Thunderbolt 3, right?

yeah it was much cheaper than the desingare and had the feature i wanted. Thanks for helping

No problem! I made an edit above. My math was off. I actually saved $45, not $20. I don't know how I mathed that bad! lol

You should really have two forms of storage, one for your Windows, programs, and games, and the other for photos, videos, documents, and other data. The SSD will be for your C-drive. If your C-drive gets corrupted, you can reformat it without affecting your data.  If you live near a Micro Center you can save about $55 on that CPU/MB combo. You may not reach your maximum overclock with the Hyper 212. Something like a Mugen 5 Rev. B would be better, but would eat up all of your savings.
