HDD(s) keep(s) restarting

Go to solution Solved by Rehmat,

It is normal for HDDs to go to sleep if they are not being used to save on wear. They are designed like that. Also as you have optane accelerated HDDs when you are using files that are on the optane SSDs then the hdd is idle and doing nothing. If this happens for an extended time period then the HDD goes to sleep.

Okay...

um...

My pc has two 7.2k mechanical HDDs (a 1tb for os accelerated using 16gb of Optane and a 250gb for random stuff), they have been working normally. However, recently i kept hearing the sound of a drive restarting from my pc, but everything seemed normal. Should i be worried?

I have a really cheap 550w Cooler Power psu that I can not find any information about. I wonder if that’s the problem.
