Yeah, you don't really upgrade a laptop, which is why most gamers and enthusiasts still use towers.  Laptop motherboards aren't a standard size and layout.  They tend to change with each revision of the laptop.  So, aside from adding an SSD or more memory, there isn't anything that can be done.
