there are programs you can get to control the fan speed but by doing that you have to look at it all the time, because most of the programs disable the heat sensor. i would go with bios as well tbh. it may be noisy but its better than disabling your heat sensor and overheating your pc

Does the 3rd party app not automatically set the cpu fan speed? why do i need to monitor it at all times?

I have a fatility x99x killer mobo and i was googling the manual book and saw nothing mentioning of cpu fan control in there, i might be wrong

i mean it depends, i used speed fan on a old compaq with the cpu fan and it worked but when i tried it on a newer pcs the thing was too advanced to be taken over, so if thats the case and speed fan doesnt work than 3rd party apps might do it, i mean there could be one that lets you set a certian temp but idk, most of the ones i saw just disable your sensor or is just a bunch of malware infected files.

I see, btw is it called cpu fan control in the bios? or should i look for another specific terms. Ill look into my bios later today when free.

i mean tbh idk, youl have to search because in my bios its just simple, its either fan at max or fan at auto but its prob dif with yours, just navigate bios and im sure youl find something, but if you dont then an app might be ur choice

What is your motherboard?

Usually in the latest mobo, you can set a curve for all fans
