Hi guys, Its Dave

I'm thinking of building a light editing rig. I'm not looking to become a full fledged creator, just make some videos of gaming, etc from time to time.

I have a second computer with an FX 8350 and 16 GB RAM in it. I have the opportunity to buy a 4x8 kit of DDR3 32 GB 1600 MHz RAM for $60. Would this be a decent set up for light editing?

Thank you for your time.

Hey Dave,

I would get a Ryzen 5 based machine with a decent gpu (Vega 56, RX, or 2060)

That ram you could buy, is DDR3, so its not usable now

That second computer, could be used as a capture machine tho, so its not wasted

An elgato or Ripsaw would work great

Hail to the King baby!
