Storage for Go Pro

I am going on holiday this summer and I am going to buy a go pro. I was wondering if I would be able to use my phone (OnePlus 6T) to transfer videos from the SD card to a portable hdd or ssd. I would ideally use Google drive but I do not know if there is WiFi where I am going.
